Observers attend a governmental meeting, note what happens at the meeting, and report back to the League. Observers learn more about what their government is doing, the issues facing their community and how issues are being addressed. Observers help ensure the issues facing their community are being handled “in the sunshine,” in the open. Upcoming meetings to attend include the Canyon City Commission, Amarillo City Council,  Amarillo and Canyon school district board, and possibly Potter and/or Randall County Commission.  When you sign up, you will receive guidelines and a short reporting form as well as a schedule of upcoming meetings.
